  • In addition to adding FX in a considered and musical way, enhance their music further by manipulating EQ and using a compressor

When using the Live Loops feature, sequencer in GarageBand and/or a virtual instrument, show learners how to manipulate the EQ of a track by using the visual EQ feature. Ask them to give musical reasons for their decisions.

Within a track’s compressor controls, ask learners to explore manipulating parameters such as compressor threshold, attack and mix to create a more nuanced and detailed sound. Encourage them to give musical reasons for their decisions.
