abcd Convention

  • 26th and 27th October 2024
  • London Campus, University of Reading

Join us for a weekend of workshops, repertoire, exhibition and networking for everyone who leads singing, whatever their experience. Catch up with colleagues, meet new ones, browse new repertoire, brush up on skills with leading practitioners and take part in debate.

Take part in practical sessions with leading practitioners, including Naveen Arles, Amy Bebbington, Rebecca Berkley, the Ex Cathedra team, Neil Ferris, Charles MacDougall, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Joanna Tomlinson and Jenny Trattles, and hear Corra Sound in concert on Saturday night.

Session topics include honing your vocal sound, resources for primary and secondary leaders, teaching musicianship to young singers, masterclasses, establishing and leading community choirs, repertoire new and old for everyone, diversifying your programming, and much more.

Explore new repertoire from our member publishers, composers and choral partners – all on our microsite for exclusive viewing by delegates, plus the chance to sing through highlights on the day.

Our trade exhibition will be alongside session space in the main hall, ideally placed for browsing in session breaks. Chat with publishers and composers, browse through music and start planning that long awaited choir trip!
