We are pleased to invite you to the Inclusive Practice in Action 2025 annual gathering focused on advancing inclusive practice in the music education sector and wider music industries. This year’s theme addresses the barriers young people face in progressing within music.

Inclusive Practice in Action offers a chance to reflect and engage in discussions about creating inclusive, equitable pathways. By sharing practical strategies and insights, the event empowers attendees to drive meaningful change in their work and communities.

What to expect:

Early bird ticket prices:

  • Students, young people aged 16-25, and unwaged – £5
  • Individual practitioners / freelancers – £40
  • Organisation band 1 (under 100k turnover) – £80
  • Organisation band 2 (100k+ turnover) – £100

Free companion tickets are available to those with access needs. If you require the assistance of an essential companion, please book your own ticket online and then contact emily@sound-connections.org.uk to request your free additional companion ticket.

In line with our commitment to Youth Voice, we actively encourage organisations to bring a young member of their team to Inclusive Practice in Action 2025.

Group discounts: We actively encourage teams from organisations to attend our training courses, to facilitate ongoing discussion and change in your workplace. We will be offering a 10% discount if you book more than one ticket for your organisation. Please contact emily@sound-connections.org.uk for information.

We are keen that financial barriers do not prevent practitioners from attending Sound Connections events. We have a number of bursaries available for individuals, freelancers, students or those who are currently not in employment. If you would like to take advantage of this for this event, please email emily@sound-connections.org.uk briefly outlining your employment status, and we will send you a discount code.

If due to unavoidable circumstances you are no longer able to attend an event you have previously booked, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know. We can refund the full ticket price up to 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations made after that will be refunded at 50% in order to cover catering / admin costs. We are also able to offer an exchange for an alternative event.
