Taking Trauma-Informed Approaches

  • 9th October 2024 & 5th March 2025
  • 4pm - 5.15pm
  • Online (Zoom)

We’ve teamed up with Diverse Educators to deliver a two-part course on Trauma informed practices and approaches.

People under umbrella, being held up by hand

Working with Diverse Educators, who provide support, training and resources around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in education, this 2 part course will support you in:

  • Developing an awareness of trauma responses
  • Becoming conscious of the factors that cause trauma
  • Expanding our understanding of how trauma relates to DEI
  • Reflecting on the impact that prejudice and discrimination can have on an individual
  • Discussing how we respond to behaviours impacted by trauma as individuals and institutions
  • Exploring trauma-informed principles and practices

To get the most out of the course, you will need to attend both sessions. Each session will allow time at the end for a Q&A.

Part 1: 9 October 2024

Part 2: 5 March 2025
