Area Leader North Warwickshire, Curriculum & Progression Strategy Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic education professional to join our Senior Team at Warwickshire Music to lead on our delivery across North Warwickshire and to shape and lead our Curriculum and Workforce Development Strategy.

Warwickshire Music is the principal provider of Music Education Services in Warwickshire and is one of three collaborative Lead Organisations for the Heart of England Music Hub. Our large team of teachers provide instrumental/vocal lessons, curriculum support, music group and musical opportunities to over 11,000 children each week across the county.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic education professional to join our Senior Leadership Team, ideally from the beginning of the summer term (28thApril 2025), or as soon as possible after this date.
The role combines two key areas of responsibility.
- The leadership, day to day management and development of all Music Service and Music Hub delivery activities and stakeholder relationships to meet the needs of schools and students across the North Warwickshire & Nuneaton & Bedworth areas of Warwickshire.
- Leadership of our curriculum, learner progression and professional development strategies and the support & development of School Music Plans across Warwickshire.
The Candidate
This is an important role within Warwickshire Music and forms part of our Senior Leadership team. Our Senior Leaders work to develop effective relationships to support schools and academies in their area to enable the delivery of the vision, aims and activities of Warwickshire Music and the National Plan for Music Education.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A proven track record of building and sustaining effective relationships with schools, partners, and stakeholders to achieve outstanding musical outcomes for children and young people.
- Experience and a proven track record of effectively managing distributed teams of teachers.
- A proven track record and experience of developing and delivering a broad and innovative range of inclusive music curricular and co-curricular activities to meet the needs of schools and learners .
- A successful track record of developing and implementing strategies and interventions to consistently raise standards of teaching, learning and progress in schools and other education settings.
- Experience of planning and delivering impactful and creative curriculum programmes, professional development opportunities and experiences to meet identified professional needs of instrumental and school based teachers.
Appointment to this role is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
