Music for Life is an award winning not-for-profit organisation delivering music lessons in schools. Whether you are a well-established instrumental or singing tutor, or if you are just starting, please contact us to find out how working in partnership with Music for Life could support you.
Music for Life is an innovative not-for-profit organisation, delivering instrumental and singing lessons to primary and secondary aged children in individual, small group and whole class settings. Founded nearly three decades ago, Music for Life emerged to address the complex administrative challenges faced by schools eager to provide musical opportunities for their students.
Music for Life was awarded ‘not for profit of the year for 24/25’. The judges praised the exceptional commitment to inclusivity that is the foundation of every class and event held by Music for Life. Currently, they teach over 3,000 students every week, spanning more than 130 schools and collaborating with approximately 100 self-employed music tutors who impart their expertise in individual, small group and whole-class settings. What truly distinguishes Music for Life is its self-sufficiency, ensuring that the initiative not only sustains itself but also gives back to the community.
Music for Life works in partnership with over 100 self-employed, freelance tutors, working throughout the area delivering outstanding music tuition. Sharing the same philosophy and beliefs that Music for Life have, the collaboration between the team and the self-employed tutors is so strong, built on a mutually supportive and respectful foundation. Music for Life organises and arranges all lesson bookings and timetable logistics, leaving tutors to focus entirely on the music.
