Woodwind Tutor (Saxophone & Clarinet) & Junior Jazz Ensemble Leader
Saturdays – SW19
We are looking for a woodwind tutor & junior jazz ensemble leader to join our Music Centre South Wimbledon on a Saturday between 8.30am-13.30pm.
The role will involve approximately 4 hours of teaching 1-1 woodwind lessons (clarinet & saxophone) to students of a wide range of abilities.
The tutor will also lead Merton Music Foundation’s junior jazz ensemble, ‘Jazz Jumpers’, which serves as the entry point for most students into Merton Music Foundation’s structured pathway of four jazz ensembles, ranging from beginner to advanced. Jazz Jumpers aims to provide an accessible and fun introduction to jazz and ensemble playing for young musicians approximately grade 1/2 to 4, with a strong emphasis on building confidence in improvisation and spontaneous music-making.
Mixed Woodwind Tutor
Wednesdays – SW19
We are looking for a mixed woodwind tutor to join our Music Centre South Wimbledon on a Wednesday evening from 4pm.
The role will involve approximately 3-4 hours of 1-1 mixed woodwind teaching on recorder, clarinet & saxophone. The ability to teach flute is also desirable.
