Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Inclusive, Diverse, Equitable, Accessible Leaders (I.D.E.A.L) network is for leaders & practitioners in EDI roles, aspiring inclusion leads, and those looking to implement inclusive practices within their organisations. The programme runs on a rolling basis, delivered by SLS 360 and led by their CEO and Founder Samantha Stimpson. Members will have access to a monthly insight session, a monthly online network meeting, peer mentoring and consultancy on tap, and an online community. Learn more about the network in this interview with Sam.

New registrations for this session, will get access to a recording of part one.
Teaching
Training and events for music teachers, schools, community musicians and educators
24th March | Peer Group: Instrumental and Vocal Tutors
Vocal and instrumental teachers often work in isolation. Even when working in schools, or as part of a music hub/service team, opportunities to connect with colleagues in person can be rare. This group aims to tackle the issue of professional isolation by bringing together teachers across the UK for a termly virtual meetup. Whether you’ve been teaching for years or are new to the profession, come along to ask questions, join in with discussions, and learn from each other.
Uniquely for our Peer Group meetings, this session is open to non-members as well as members.
12th May | Ofsted Update on Music in Schools
Join Ofsted’s Christopher Stevens, HMI National Lead for Music as he returns to speak with Music Mark. During this session, Christopher will give a presentation, followed by time for your questions to be answered.
19th June | T-Time
T-Time online sessions are interactive sessions exclusively for classroom teachers to talk about their current teaching practice. T-Time is an opportunity to reflect with colleagues across primary, secondary and SEND settings around the UK and discuss hot topics affecting music education. Previous topics have included Music Education Inspection and Experiences in the Primary Curriculum.
