Repertoire Revealed for BBC Ten Pieces III
6th March 2017
BBC Ten Pieces reveal the third repertoire list for academic year 2017/18 making a total of thirty pieces of classical music to engage children aged 7-14 and inspire them to make their own creative responses.
The repertoire for Ten Pieces III includes a new work by British composer Kerry Andrew that has been commissioned specially for the project’No Place Like’.
Kerry Andrew’s song for a capella voices takes inspiration from words contributed by children from across the UK about their home, giving young people the opportunity to contribute to one of the Ten Pieces for the first time.
All new resources for Ten Pieces III will be made available at the start of the 2017/18 academic year to accompany the new repertoire and support students in their exploration of the pieces.
