This is a free resource focusing on the classical concerto with Mozart as the starting point. It incudes links to music by women of Mozart’s time and an animation about Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de St. Georges.
This a composite resource created as a companion to a BBC series. The frontpage features an animation created to visualise the structure of the classical piano concerto using Mozart’s piano concerto no. 23 as the exemplar. There are links to videos about the instruments of Mozart’s time, the birth of the symphony and the keyboard concerto; and playlists that include music by Maddalena Sirmen, Marianna Martines and Joseph Bologne.
