Howard pays tribute to the hard work of music teachers, discusses the importance of music and arts education, and how music develops vital collaboration and sharing skills. He covers the mental health and other benefits of music, the equal value of different musical choices, and music’s unique quality as a ‘timeless art’, and sums up what music offers young people in terms of lifelong opportunities and community.
